Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the initial major honor of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
